Tien Shan Chi Kung

We practice in my small garage which is in my back yard behind the house.
Sometimes, on nice days, we also practice in the secluded back or the nicely
landscaped and private front yard.
I've been learning and practicing various Eastern meditative arts for close to
forty years now, focusing primarily on the Taoist arts for a couple of decades, and
have been teaching Tien Shan for over fifteen years. I've learned and
practice many types of Chi Kung as well as various forms of Tai Chi, including
sword forms.
A little over fifteen years ago I met Master Fook Yueng, a most delightful
person who has amazing mastery of the Way and it's ways, his energy is vast. I'm
so fortunate that I was allowed to become one of the small group of very lucky
people who were his students. From him I learned this beautiful form of
spiritual and martial Chi Kung, Tien Shan Chi kung. A soft, slow, flowing, and
exotic type of dance, and like all of the truly Taoist arts must, it can't exist
without embodying a deep beauty. It is my favorite and the one I prefer to
practice and teach.
When the handful of students was trained, which took many years, Mr. Yueng
retired. It is his intention that his students give this powerful gift of
healing to the public.
This is the type of high power chi kung that requires the teacher to focus a
great deal of attention and chi on each student individually, so classes are
small, with only 2 or 3 per class. Only those interested in spending years in
study and practice to learn an endlessly deep art and carrying forth a great
tradition should be interested in joining. In Taoism this type of spiritual
path is sometimes called the path of the sorcerer, keep in mind that in China
the word sorcerer does not have a negative connotation, it is synonymous with
wizzard, sage, and healer.
Due to the difficulty in finding those few rare individuals with the 'right
stuff' for Tien Shan chi kung a prospective student must demonstrate proficincy
in and/or the ability to learn tai chi well before starting Tien Shan. At this
time there are two students and one adept and so there is room for one more.
Those who are interested must interview before beginning.
